fwbd2,02, Espresso, Öl auf Leinwand, 100 x 100 cm, 2005: Zuerst will ich die weißen Kerzen verbrauchen. Die dunkelblauen gefallen mir viel besser, und gerade deswegen spare ich sie auf. In der Gegend, in der ich jetzt wohne, gibt es in allen Geschäften nur weiße Kerzen und rote Grabkerzen. Ich kaufe lieber Kaffee und gehe wieder nachhause. Ich schraube die Espressokanne auseinander und verwende den oberen Teil diesmal als Vorlage für mein neues Bild. Ich liebe das Geräusch, das entsteht, wenn der letzte Rest des Wassers oben ankommt.

In the part of the town where I live the shops offer only white or red memorial candles so I only buy coffee and return home. I screw open the espresso pot and this time I use the upper part as model for my new painting. I love the sound when the last bit of water arrives in this upper part of the pot
