fwbd2,08, Bei Tageslicht, Öl auf Leinwand, 100 x 100 cm, 2006. Mit meiner Methode des Malens riskiere ich manchmal auch, dass einfach nichts anderes herauskommt als ein Bild. Es gibt aber kein Bild, über das es nichts zu erzählen gäbe. Zu diesem Bild lautete ein Kommentar einer Betrachterin, es handle sich um den Frühling. Nach reiflichem Nachdenken weiß ich jetzt, dass ich nicht den Frühling gemeint hatte. Ich hatte mich nur an meine frühere Methode erinnert, mir meinen Arbeitsraum mit all den Bildern ganz leer vorzustellen und ich ginge jetzt daran, für mich selber in meinem leeren Raum mein erstes und einziges Bild zu malen. In weiterem Sinne hat das wohl auch mit Frühling und Anfang zu tun.

However there is no painting there is nothing to tell about. An onlooker once commented that this pictures showed spring. After pondering over the matter for a while I now know for sure that I did not mean spring. I had remembered my former method: I used to imagine myself in my empty room, ready to start to paint for myself. In the broader sense that has certainly something to do with spring and beginning.
