fwbd7,77, Via il Fiume, Landschaft zu unbestimmter Jahreszeit, Öl auf Leinwand, 65 x 70cm. Wir hatten dort am Tag vor der Rückreise eine Abkürzung entdeckt, die im spitzen Winkel direkt zur Eingangsseite der Fortezza führte. An den Tagen davor waren wir umwegig über die Piazza Adua gegangen. In der Via del Fiume gibt es zwar keinen Fluss, aber ich male meine Landschaft so, als wäre sie in der Umgebung eines Flusses, und wie ich sie aus einiger Entfernung sehe, so dass ich den Horizont deutlich vom Himmel unterscheide kann. In der letzten Schicht, ziehe ich mit dem Pinsel die Gräser hoch, ganz so wie sie wachsen würden.

fwbd7,77, Via il Fiume, Landscape at any season, oil on canvas, 65 x 70 cm. On our last day before returning home, we had discovered a shortcut leading us to the entry of the Fortezza. The days before we had taken the longer route passing Piazza Adua. Actually, there is no river in the Via il Fiume, but while painting I imagine the scenery near a river, seen from the distance, with its wide horizon in strong contrast to the sky. In the latest layer of my painting, I am stroking the grass stalks upwards with the brush, in the same direction as they would grow.

Il giorno prima del nostro viaggio di ritorno avevamo scoperto una scorciatoia che portava a angolo acuto direttamente all’ingresso della Fortezza. I giorni precedenti avevamo sempre fatto la strada lunga via Piazza Adua. In Via del Fiume non c’è fiume ma dipingo il paesaggio come se fosse vicino a un  fiume e visto da lontano in modo da distinguere nettamente orizzonte e cielo. Sull’ultimo strato con il pennello tiro su i fili d’erba.
