fwbd5,50, Wieder im Freien übernehme ich Gina von Susanne, spaziere mit ihr über die große Piazza della Signoria, auf dem unmittelbar gegenüber, links neben Michelangelos riesiger David Skulptur in unscheinbarer Größe die kleine Statue des Marzocco steht. Weil die Gruppe meiner Entdecker sich „Accademia Il Marzocco“ nennt, habe ich im Vorfeld alles mir Erreichbare über diese Statue nachgelesen, ich weiß jetzt im Schlaf, dass Donatello sie im Jahr 1420 fertiggestellt hat, dass vor dem Florentiner Rathaus eine Kopie davon steht und das Original im Bargello, im italienischen Nationalmuseum, ist. Der Palazzo della Signoria, das Rathaus von Florenz, unterscheidet sich von anderen Rathäusern, die ich kenne, auch durch die Position der Uhr, die nicht im obersten Turmabschnitt positioniert ist, sondern in der Abschlussebene des Baukörpers. Am Ende des Platzes rechts setze ich mich in eines der Cafés, wo ich in meinem Notizblock mit Hilfe des Plans die Brücken aufzeichne und beschreibe, die ich von den Uffizien aus angeschaut habe. Ich müsste hinter dem Ponte Vecchio auf den Ponte Santa Trinitá geschaut haben, und die nächste Brücke dahinter ist der Ponte alla Carraia.

We cross Piazza della Signoria, where just opposite Michelangelo’s big David sculpture, another seemingly small statue of Marzocco is. I know every detail about this statue, because the group of artist which honored me with their award call themselves “Accademia Il Mazocco”. The statue was finished in the year 1420 by Dontello and there is a replica of it in front of the town hall of Florence. The original one is in Bargello in the Italian national museum. The Palazzo della Signoria, the town hall of Florence, is easy to distinguish from other town halls because of the positioning of the clock. Instead of putting it into the upper part of the tower, the clock is located in the upper part of the main building. At the end of the big square I sat down at a small café where I tried to sketch the bridges that I looked at from the gallery. With the city map I found out that it must had been Ponte Vecchio, Ponte Santa Trinitá and Ponte alla Caraia which I looked at.

Fuori all’aperto riprendo Gina da Susanne, attraverso con lei la grande Piazza della Signoria, sulla quale si trova subito a sinistra della grande statua del Davide di Michelangelo, la piccola statua del Marzocco. Siccome il gruppo dei miei scopritori si chiama “Accademia il Marzocco”, avevo fatte delle ricerche sulla statua e ora so che Donatello la finì nel 1420, che il Marzocco davanti al Palazzo della Signoria è una copia e che l’originale si trova nel Bargello, il museo nazionale. Il Palazzo della Signoria, il municipio di Firenze, si differenzia da altri municipi di mia conoscenza anche per la posizione dell’orologio, che non si trova nella parte superiore della torre, ma appena sopra i merletti dell’edificio stesso. In fondo alla piazza mi siedo a un tavolino di un bar, prendo il mio blocco, la pianta della città e faccio degli schizzi dei ponti che avevo visto dagli Uffizi. Secondo me devo aver guardato al ponte Santa Trinità, dopo il Ponte Vecchio e il ponte dopo era il Ponte alla Carraia.
