Bei meinem nächsten Ankommen im April 2013 war das Finden verhältnismäßig leicht, weil wir bis zur Piazza della Libertà zügig durchfahren konnten und von dort nach einem leichten Rechtsbogen schon bei der Porta al Prato waren. Wir sind jetzt westlich vom Bahnhof, aber ungefähr auf der gleichen Höhe. Von der Via il Prato, wo wir diesmal unsere Unterkunft haben, kann ich mir wegen des alten Stadttores immerhin zusammenreimen, dass hier einmal eine große Wiese vor der Stadtmauer war. We went to Piazza della Libertà and after a slight turn to the right we were exactly at the Porta al Prato. This time we had our apartment more west from the train station, but at the same height. From the Via il Prato, where we had our apartment I could imagine how the area in front of the old city wall could have looked like.

Al nostro prossimo arrivo nell’aprile del 2013 fu facile orientarsi, perché non trovammo intralci fino a Piazza della Libertà, e da lì manca poco a Porta al Prato. Siamo a ovest della stazione ora, ma più o meno sulla stessa altezza. Partendo dal nome della strada dove alloggiamo, Via il Prato, immagino un grandissimo prato davanti a questa Porta della città.
