Auf dem Papier darunter hatte ich eine Espressokanne begonnen, nur den Oberteil mit dem Griff war da, sonst nichts. Erst zehn Jahre später malte ich das Bild fertig, ein Luftschloss, rundherum von Wasser umgeben.

Sul foglio qui sotto avevo iniziato a dipingere una caffettiera, solo la parte superiore con il manico, null’altro. Dieci anni più tardi terminavo il quadro, un castello in aria circondato d’acqua.
