Die Stelle mit dem Weg, in den wir auf der Hinfahrt ein Stück eingebogen waren, hatten wir auf unserer Rückfahrt schon wieder passiert, und ungefähr einen Kilometer weiter Richtung Pisa stand jetzt ein Wagen mit einem Anhänger voll einladendem Obst und ein Mann daneben, der es verkaufte. Wir hielten an, und ich nahm von jeder Obstsorte zwei Stück. Jedes einzelne hatte so appetitlich ausgesehen, aber nicht einmal ein winziges Bisschen davon war essbar. alles faul, obwohl von außen nicht das kleinste braune Pünktchen zu sehen und beim Anfühlen keine weiche Stelle zu spüren gewesen war. Erst beim Schälen und Aufschneiden. Unser Nachtisch bestand dann aus einem geteilten weststeirischen Apfel, der im Behälter des Reiseproviants vom vergangenen Samstag nach unten gerollt war.

After about one kilometer into the direction of Pisa we stopped at the road, where a man was selling fresh fruits off the back of his truck. We took two pieces of every type of fruit because they looked so fresh and delicious. Back at home we found out that all fruits were rotten from inside. So our dessert consisted of a Styrian apple which we´d found in the box where we´d put in our food for the journey, last Saturday.

Al nostro ritorno avevamo già superato la stradina che avevamo preso per arrivare al mare, e circa un chilometro in direzione Pisa, c’era un camion con rimorchio pieno di frutta allettante con un uomo accanto che la vendeva. Ci fermammo e presi due frutti di ogni tipo. Avevano un aspetto molto appetitoso, ma neanche un bocconcino era mangiabile. Tutta marcia, anche se non si vedevano macchioline marroni o si sentivano parti mosce al tocco. Solo a sbucciare e tagliarla. Per il dessert poi ci dividemmo una mela della Stiria occidentale che era rimasta in fondo al barattolo contenente la merenda per il viaggio del sabato.
